Consumer Protection
The Economic Crime Division fields complaints alleging some type of consumer fraud. Once a complaint is filed and an initial investigation has been conducted, an investigator may meet with a Screening Attorney to determine whether the complaint is civil or criminal in nature to determine the appropriate action for the complainant to take.
